Faith Baptist Preschool and Academy believes that a philosophy of education is imperative in the operation of a Christian school.

Faith Baptist Preschool and Academy's philosophy is based upon the Word of God.  The primary objective and purpose of the preschool is to train the student in the way of life presented in the Scriptures while preparing them for a great educational future (Deuteronomy 6:7; Proverbs 22:6; II Timothy 3:15-17).

Character training is one of the supreme goals of Christian education.  To train means "to exercise, to discipline, to teach, and form by practice".  When a person is trained, it becomes part of his character to do what he has been taught.  Training builds habits that are right, and training must take place all through the day, not merely in a "character lesson" taught once a day or once a week.  Our goal at Faith Baptist Preschool and Academy, with the help and support of the parents, is to train our students to do the following:

  1. Respect authority.
  2. Pay attention
  3. Obey willingly and immediately
  4. Learn and follow rules.
  5. Learn and work hard.
  6. Do their best.
  7. Develop good habits such as:
                   a.  honesty

                   b.  obedience

                   c.  self-control

                   d.  cooperation

                   e.  neatness

                   f.  attentiveness

                   g.  helpfulness

                   h.  respect

It is easy to talk about doing right; however, it is much harder to practice it.  We provide an orderly, organized classroom where working hard and doing right are the accepted standard, and the teacher is the authority in the classroom.  At Faith Baptist Preschool & Academy your child will find it easier to concentrate on his or her work, and develop positive character traits naturally.

Objectives in Christian Education

  7. To achieve mastery in the tools of learning and communication.
  8. To develop a sense of responsibility in each child as a citizen and as a Christian.
  9. To develop a moral, ethical, and spiritual sense which will aid them in appreciation of their own personal worth and that of others.\
