Foundational

Through teacher-led academics our preschool helps prepare each child for kindergarten. Beginning as early as 3 years old, your child will learn:

• Letter recognition and letter sounds
• Early writing skills through letter formation
• Listening skills
• Motor skills development
• Number recognition
• Counting from 1-30
• Understanding number concepts 1-15

Students begin each day with a Bible lesson. They also learn through play and creative activity, including poems, music, Bible verse memorization, and art projects. Preschool is also a prime opportunity for students to learn good learning habits and beginning social skills (sharing, working with others, taking turns, and following directions). Students will also enjoy time on our preschool playground each day (weather permitting). To enroll, students must be at least 3 years old and fully potty trained.

Caring & Safe

Each teacher spends their days investing in the life of your child through caring, but firm, instruction and supervision. Our school also has security cameras (inside and outside) as well as magnetic-locking doors to further ensure safety. Every teacher and staff member is also first-aid and CPR trained.

Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-kindergarten is designed to help your child to get ready for the transition to kindergarten.

Our teacher-led program provides the foundation for a great beginning in kindergarten. A structured learning environment, as well as a variety of creative activities, will establish in your child's life what they need for the future. Students must be at least 4 years old and fully potty trained to enroll in Pre-Kindergarten.

Our Pre-Kindergarten program is language intensive. Student will learn to:

• Recognize 5 vowels and their sounds
• Recognize 21 consonants and their sounds
• Be able to blend consonant and vowels sounds
• Read one-vowel and two-vowel words
• Read simple sentences and stories

Students will also learn to:

• Count from 1-100
• Recognize numbers 1-20
• Understand before and after numbers
• Solve simple combinations
• Understand time, calendar, and money concepts

Students begin each day with a Bible lesson. They also develop language and listening skills, motor skills, and creativity through varied activities including poems, music, Bible verse memorization, and art projects. Pre-kindergarten students also learn good learning habits and social skills (sharing, working with others, taking turns, and following directions), as well as prepare them for the classroom environment of kindergarten. Students will also enjoy time on our playground each day (weather permitting).

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is the foundation your child's education will be built on.

A strong foundation is essential and Faith Baptist Preschool & Academy is dedicated to helping your child build theirs. Our teacher-led program provides that foundation. A structured learning environment, as well as a variety of creative activities, will establish in your child's life what they need for the future. Students enrolling in kindergarten must turn five by September 1st.

Through our language intensive program, students will learn to:

• Recognize/review 5 vowels and their sounds
• Recognize 21 consonants and their sounds
• Be able to blend consonant and vowels sounds
• Read one-vowel and two-vowel words
• Recognize and use 49 special sounds
• Learn basic phonetic rules and apply them
• Read simple sentences and stories
• Develop basic comprehension skills

Students begin each day with a Bible lesson and enjoy a weekly chapel service. Students will learn through a Biblical view each of these core subjects: phonics, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. They also develop language and listening skills, motor skills, and creativity through varied activities including poems, music, Bible verse memorization, and art projects. Students will also enjoy time on our playground each day (weather permitting).

Kindergarten students staying after 1:00 p.m. will have a quiet rest time in the afternoon, so a small pillow and small blanket should be brought. Mats are provided.

Elementary

(1st - 5th Grade)

Small class sizes, teacher-led instruction, and a traditional classroom setting help children excel in their learning experience.

Students begin each day with a Bible lesson and enjoy a weekly chapel service. Students will learn through a Biblical viewpoint each of these core subjects: phonics, reading, writing, math, spelling, science, and social studies.  Art, music, and p.e./recess will also be part of your child's day. The A Beka curriculum, written from a Christian perspective, is used to help establish a strong foundation in academics, as well as character.

Before & After School Care

Parents are busy. Sometimes schedules are hard to balance. Let us help. 

Before Care

As a convenience to our parents supervised care is available in the mornings for students enrolled at Faith Baptist Preschool & Academy starting at 7:00 a.m.

After Care

We offer after care from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for grades K5-5 at a rate of $25 per day and/or $250 per month.   Any student not picked up by 3:30 p.m. will be sent to after care.  Students will have snack, recess time, and academic study hall time.

All students, preschool or academy, must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. to avoid additional fees.
